For over two centuries, the hilltop above the Potomac River has been at the heart of Catholic higher education. Since 1789, the Georgetown campus has undergone many changes, but within its grounds are the same buildings where George Washington sent his nephews to school, where Lafayette toured the quadrangle, or where Lincoln reviewed the troops.
